XploreChinese Summer Institute offers an innovative model to engage intermediate to advanced middle and high school Chinese learners to practice speaking Mandarin beyond a classroom setting, have fun reading and writing in Chinese and develop creative problem-solving skills.

Students will visit handpicked community sites in the Boston area, immersed in real-life speaking, comprehension, and interaction opportunities, and work in small groups on student-centered Research and Design projects. This program will empower students to walk away with increased confidence in practical, conversational Chinese, familiarity with reading everyday Chinese, adeptness at written expression, and hands-on R+D experience.
